We're convinced attorney
Jim Ferraro and designer
Rene Ruiz are trying to work their way on to
Hillary Clinton's "Top Friends" list on her MySpace page. During the $2300 per plate luncheon hosted by Ferraro at Randazzo's in Coral Gables, Hillary was one of 40 guests, along with
Bernie Kosar,
Bob and Jill Zakarin,
Jorge Rosenblut and Ruiz, who presented her with a $1200 cashmere and lace scarf. Hillary enjoyed the restaurant's mega-meatballs and was definitely not on the South Beach Diet. Our spy says, "She ate everything with gusto!" This, after she appeared at Lucky Strike for a fundraiser, co-organized by
Sari Agatston, wife of South Beach Diet guru
Dr. Arthur. At the thousand dollar per person fundraiser, Clinton was given a pair of bowling shoes by Lucky Strike co-owner and Clinton pal
Philip Levine. Levine organized the event with the help of Mrs. Agatston,
Brian Elias,
Jacquelynn Powers and
Chris Korge. Although Hil didn't bowl, she did give what attendees have described as "an impassioned speech about health care, education and Iraq--using no notes at all." As for why they didn't give Hil her own bowling ball--well, you could say she's already got a pretty serious set of her own.
