NFL WEEK 13 RESULTS: HERALD PICKS X GREG'S LOBOS X QB RANKINGS:

Herald Picks: Nice bounce-back week -- We went 10-4-1 overall and rebounded to 8-7 against the spread last week. For the year we're now within shouting distance of the Mendoza Line (.600) straight-up and right around .500 ATS as we fight to get and stay over both plateaus.

LobosGreg's Lobos: Ouch. Big loss in next-to-last week -- The defending PFPI Fantasy champion Lobos are 8-5 after being crushed 176-98 last week by my older brother, with Cee Dee Lamb my only player to reach 20 points. For the year we're tied for second place (fourth after the tiebreaker) and have clinched one of six playoff spots entering the last week of the regular season of our 10-team family 'n friends fantasy league.

NFL QB Rankings: Hurts wins week, Mahomes sees overall lead narrow -- Philly's Jalen Hurts wins the Week 13 title while KC's Patrick Mahomes sees his overall lead shrink in the Miami Herald NFL Quarterback Rankings. Miami's Tua Tagovailao holds onto the No. 9 spot. For the full latest Top 25 and more, visit NFL Week 13 QB Rankings.

Hilltop: The five columns before that: Dare To Dream, Dolphins Fans. Why Miami Is a Legit Super Bowl Contender / Shula To Miami And 17-0 Should Not Have Happened. It Was Luck ... Or Fate / Kyrie Irving's Anti-Semitism Mess Bigger Than Him. Note: Mount Gregmore includes opinion columns only. NFL picks, QB rankings and stories on newest podcast are not included.

NFL WEEK 11 RESULTS: HERALD PICKS X GREG'S LOBOS X QB RANKINGS:

Herald Picks: A solid all-round week -- We were a solid 10-4 straight-up last week and an above-ground 7-6-1 against the point spread. Missed two exact scores by a single point. Right idea but tough luck on our Upset of the Week as Colts led Eagles the whole game before losing 17-16. Hit another outright upset with Raders winning at Broncos, and scored a pair of other dog-with-points wins in covers by the Colts and Chargers. The ATS tie was the push on Falcons' 3-point win. Tough season is picking up; momentum felt.

LobosGreg's Lobos: Another wins keeps a share of first place -- The defending PFPI Fantasy champion Lobos are 7-4 and in a four-ay knot for first place with two straight wins after last week's 113-82 win. Got 25 from Jacoby Brissett and 24 from tee Higgins. Brissett was a big score as a late free-agent QB add on account of byes. With three weeks left in the regular season we have a 99 percent layoff shot and chance to repeat in our 10-team family 'n friends fantasy league.

NFL QB Rankings: Dalton narrowly wins week, Mahomes maintains overall lead -- Nee Orleans' Andy Dalton edges Dallas' Dak Prescott by less than a point to take the Week 11 title while Kansas City's Patrick Mahomes maintains a comfortable overall lead in the Miami Herald NFL Quarterback Rankings. Miami's Tua Tagovailao slips three spots to No. 8 because of his bye week -- still a lofty perch for someone who has missed most of three games injured. NFL WEEK 9 RESULTS: HERALD PICKS X GREG'S LOBOS X QB RANKINGS:

Herald Picks: The rally continues! -- We niftied a very solid 10-3 mark overall last week and an even 5-5-3 against the spread -- with wins by the Chargers, Vikings and Bucs all pushing on 3-point lines for the ties. Nailed two outright upsets with Jaguars beating Raiders and Seahawks beating Cardinals. Had a push with Washington on our Upset of the Week, and had Titans with the points to cover at Kansas City. Tough season, but let's keep the rally going!

LobosGreg's Lobos: Due a slip, and slip we did -- The defending PFPI Fantasy champion Lobos had won two straight but fell last week 133-109 to rival/son Chris. Got 25 From Tua but needed  a Monday night miracle from Lamar Jackson that never happened. We're 5-4 and and still playoff-solid in our 10-team family 'n friends fantasy league with five weeks left in the regular season.

NFL QB Rankings: Mahomes wins week, Tua blasts back into Top 10 -- Kansas City's Patrick Mahomes wins Week 9 and is poised to regain the overall No.1 spot this coming week, while Miami's Tua Tagovailao soars to the No. 9 spot despite missing most of three games injured. NFL WEEK 8 RESULTS: HERALD PICKS X GREG'S LOBOS X QB RANKINGS:

Herald Picks: Streak against the spread lives! -- Been a tough season so far with our picks in the Herald and I'm not alone, but scratched out a 9-6 mark overall and went 8-7 against the spread. That was our third straight winning week ATS, with a 25-18 mark (.581) vs. the Evil Betting Line in that span. Bull's-eyed an outright upset with Broncos over Jaguars in London, and had another pair of dogs-plus-points on covers by Packers in Buffalo and Browns over Cincy. Let's keep it going on our recent uptick against the point spread!

LobosGreg's Lobos: A 175-point rout for another win! -- The defending PFPI Fantasy champion Lobos are rolling at 5-3 after a big 175-115 win. Got 29 points from Tua Tagovailoa, 26 from both Dalvin Cook and Nick Chubb, and 21 from both Lamar Jackson and Nick Folk. When you get a double-double from your kicker -- you know you're golden. We now stand tied for second in our 10-team family 'n friends fantasy league. Big game this week against another 5-3 team in Crown Me The Champ -- my son Chris.

NFL QB Rankings: Tua wins week, and there's another new No. 1 -- Miami's Tua Tagovailao wins his second weekly title of the season to take Week 8 honors and there's another change at No. 1 overall in the updated Miami Herald Quarterback Rankings. Full Top 25 and more at NFL Week 8 QB Rankings.

Got off to a bad start last night. Had Bucs (+1) beating Ravens in a slight upset. They did not, up early but not holding on. Find that separate predix capsule at NFL Week 8 Thursday Gem.

NFL WEEK 7 RESULTS: HERALD PICKS X GREG'S LOBOS X QB RANKINGS:

Herald Picks: Workin' 9-5 on a solid week -- Been a tough season so far with our picks in the Herald but had a solid Week 7, going 9-5 both straight-up and against the spread. I'll take that ATS any week. Nailed our Upset of the Week with Giants winning at Jacksonville, and also had another pair of dogs-with-points on covers by Washington over the Packers and by Seattle vs. the Chargers. Let's keep building on our recent upswing against the point spread!

Greg's Lobos: Back on winning track and on playoff pace at midseason -- The defending PFPI Fantasy champion Lobos are at 4-3 and solidly on playoff pace, standing third of 10 teams and second in overall points at midseason after a 120-108 win. We smartly started Raheem Mostert as a bye-replacement and got a team-leading 20 from him, as well as 18 from Nick Chubb and 15 from Pat Freiermuth.

NFL QB Rankings: Burrow takes week, and there's a new No. 1 -- Cincy's Joe Burrow wins Week 7 honors with a season-best game and vaults from seventh place to second in the overall standings, but it's a different QB who takes over the No. 1 spot in the updated Miami Herald Quarterback Rankings. NFL WEEK 6 RESULTS: HERALD PICKS X GREG'S LOBOS X QB RANKINGS:

Herald Picks: More tough sledding ... but better against the spread -- Thirty-two seasons of NFL picks in the Herald and I can rarely remember a tougher one. Wet only 7-7- overall last week with the onset of byes, but better against the spread at 8-6. Misfired on the Dolphins winning an upset, but did nail Patriots' upset win at Cleveland. Also had three other dogs with points on covers by Falcons, Giants and Broncos. Time to build on that ATS upswing and get on a roll!

LobosGreg's Lobos: Sour loss but still stout in playoff hunt -- Defending PFPI Fantasy champion Lobos had won three straight but now have lost two in a row with last week's 106-100 defeat. Got 24 from second QB Trevor Laerence but not enough help. Needed 10 points from Courtland Sutton Monday night to win; got three. Ourselves to blame, though. Started a newly signed tight end who'd been unexpectedly ruled inactive just before game in a rare clerical lapse. Still, at 3-3 we are only one game off the lead, second in scoring and well on playoff pace.

NFL QB Rankings: Ryan takes week, Allen grows overall lead -- Indy's Matt Ryan busted out with season's second-best passing game for the Week 6 win to vault seven spots to No. 6 overall in the updated Miami Herald Quarterback Rankings. Buffalo's Josh Allen grew his overall lead and is No.1 for a fourth straight week. Full Top 25 and more at NFL Week 6 QB Rankings.

Our NFL Week 6 picks: Onset of byes trims the schedule from 16 games to 14 but it's still biggest week of the season thus far with two co-Games of the Week in Bills-Chiefs and Cowboys-Eagles. Vikings-Dolphins should be a goodie, too. Visit NFL Week 6 Gems to find all of our latest picks for those three games and all the rest Two more big upsets in the mix this week; will Fins be one? Got off to an unfortunate start Thursday night's stinker. We had Chicago winning at home over Washington in a pick-'em game, but Bears lost 12-7 -- failing to score on four tries inside the Commanders 5 in the final minute. That exemplifies our unlucky season so far. Sigh.

ZonkTHE LARRY CSONKA YOU NEVER KNEW: I recently interviewed Dolphins great Larry Csonka for an hour and a half, about the Perfect Season, his life of outdoors adventure, his life in general -- a farmboy growing up poor, with an outhouse out back. There were things I didn't know, such as Zonk disliking Don Shula at first and asking to be traded. Shula went on to call Csonka "the heart" of the Perfect Season, the championship years and the glory days. For that column, new and out now:  Larry Csonka, ‘Heart’ Of Dolphins Glory Days, On His Life Of Adventure — And Perfection.

NFL WEEK 5 RESULTS: HERALD PICKS X GREG'S LOBOS X QB RANKINGS:

Herald Picks: Rough week after hot streak -- We'd had two strong weeks in a row but the game-by game grind that is the 2022 NFL season bit us again in Week 5 as went a mediocre 9-7 overall and a gut-punch 5-11 vs. the spread. Had Browns-with-points over Rams in our Upset of Week. Also had Texans and Cowboys plus points. But not enough else went right. Season still young. Time to start a new streak!

LobosGreg's Lobos: 'Bos get battered but still in good shape -- Defending PFPI Fantasy champion Lobos had won three straight before last week's 174-124 loss. Ground game came up big with 26 points from Nick Chubb and 25 from Dalvin Cook but had four men in single figures. Bright side: At 3-2 we're still tied for first in our bunched-up 10-team friends 'n family league, and alone on top with tiebreaker, total points scored. Back on board: Let's "Lo, lo, lo your boat"!

NFL QB Rankings: Mahomes wins week, Allen still on top, Tua tumbless: Patrick Mahomes wins Week 5 to move up into second place behind Josh Allen and inactive Tua Tagovailoa continues his slide in the latest Miami Herald NFL Quarterback Rankings? Full Top 25 and more at NFL Week 5 QB Rankings.

NFL WEEK 2 RESULTS: PICKS 'N LOBOS 'N QB RANK:

Herald Picks: Another rough week -- Another rough week has us off to probably our worst
two-week start in 32 seasons of NFL picks in the Herald. We went 8-8 overall and 5-11 against the spread in Week 2 and I won't even pretend that's alright. Oddly we were 4-0 both ways in prime-time on the Thursday, Sunday and two Monday night games. Like a vampire, it was the daylight that hurt! We'll come back strong.

Greg's Lobos: A triumphant mega-win! -- Yes! After a bad opening loss, your reigning PFPI Fantasy champions played like a team aiming to repeat with a 194-141 win fueled by 43 points from Lamar Jackson, 40 from Tua Tagovailoa (we're a super-flex league) and 31 from Nick Cubb. Lo, lo, lo your boat! Let's keep it going and rowing!

Tua TagovailoaNFL QB Rankings: Whu-a? Tua soars to No. 1: Dolphin Tua Tagovailoa wins Week 2 with a gargantuan performance and soars to No.1 ahead of Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen in the Miami Herald's updated NFL Quarterback Rankings. Full rankings at NFL Week 2 QB Rankings.
