CANESFAN SATISFACTION METER: UM-VIRGINIA: Results are in on the latest Canesfan Satisfaction Meter, and it shows 11.3 percent overall satisfaction in the wake of Saturday afternoon's 24-19 upset loss at Virginia leaving UM's season record at 5-3 overall and 3-2 in the ACC.
[Special note: The 11.3 actually is a higher than expected. Voting trends indicated an unusually high number of "very satisfied" votes early. In fact the "very satisfied" total briefly was over 30% before the mass of votes poured in and overwhelmed what I suspect was an organized guerrilla effort of anti-UM folks].
The CSM is our continuing weekly gauge of how Miami Hurricanes football fans are feeling about the team and the program's direction. A new poll appears in a separate blogpost soon after the conclusion of every Canes game.
Criteria for voting is your own, but I suggest you consider the most recent game's performance and caliber of opponent, the season as a whole, the program's direction, and your overall degree of optimism -- all in the context of reasonable expectations.
Polls never close, but results are certified official the morning after one full day of voting, in this case that was around 9:30 a.m. Monday.
