Isn't this what we've been waiting to watch on a nightly basis from this team?
Obviously the winning is important, but just the entertainment value with this team is as good as any team I can remember in a long, long, long time.
Personally, I was a huge fan of the Run TMC teams of the early 90s, but there aren't many team that have had the potential to make your jaw drop like this one.
The one play that encapsulated this performance against the Warriors was when Chris Bosh picked David Lee clean, hit Dwyane Wade on the, and he lobbed it to LeBron James for a sick finish. As soon as Bosh stole that ball, you were just waiting for something special. Wade and LeBron are so fast, they can probably create fast breaks out of more situations than anyone in the league.
As for the performance Friday, Wade continued his efficiency, which has been crucial to the team's turnaround. And it's funny because it seems he'll go through at least one stretch every day when he looks like he's forcing the issue, then all of a sudden he'll make five or six in a row and the stat line looks pristine (except for maybe a couple extra turnovers).
It's always fun to watch LeBron hit threes when he's hot. His three straight threes in the third quarter was almost as entertaining as his dunks.
And as much as Bosh had an awful start offensively Friday, he was playing well defensively, picking off four steals with a blocked shot and four dimes just to make up for his off shooting (he kind of made up for it in garbage time).
Lastly, I thought Bill Simmons was pretty good. He was funny without trying too hard. He was just himself. And he knows basketball, even if he sees the world through Celtic green glasses.
