Remember me?

I'm the guy who picked the Heat to win the title last October (of course, I had them playing the Rockets in the Finals), then for some reason picked Miami to lose to the Pistons, then went ahead and picked them to beat the Mavericks.
Two out of three ain't bad, I guess.
Anyway, after a long summer of watching all the Heat players come back while I took a ton of time off, it's time to get back on the grind.

My only prediction so far is that the early regular season will be boring if guys like Dorell Wright, Earl Barron and Wayne Simien don't play some healthy minutes. Because it's inevitable that a team coming back whole after winning a championship will remain in a lull until, say, the All-Star break.

Saw Dwyane on Monday for the first time since July and he seems pretty happy to have a similar team for two consecutive seasons. His first three years there was drastic change each offseason, so that should help him get off to a good start.

Training camp starts on Oct. 3, the same week Sun Sports is replaying the six Finals games. Good timing, I guess.
