Key quote: "People don't look where they're going. My lights stay on my scooters all the time so you can see me coming."
So pedestrians are at fault for not looking out for scooters bearing down on them?

BOLO
Yeah, MOTW, it's sort of like trying to cross the street in Midtown Manhattan. You have to look all ways so you don't get run down by these e-bike riders, who clearly would just as soon run you down as have to slow down to avoid you, maybe more.

On a hot day, nothing beats drag racing in the freezer isle.

I saw "Reckless Pensioners" open for "James Gang".

@Bill Hudgins I thought that was the name of the Rolling Stone new tour.

Well, Dave, pay attention. This is just around the corner for you. Perhaps you go into serious splooting training to push back on the aging process. "Get your motor running, head out on the highway, lookin' for adventure, in whatever comes our way ..."

Hey, Dave, I see where Miami has announced a city-wide splooting competition, I guess to attract tourists and hard core aficionados (like you and your DBBlog staff). Spooting events include: singles, doubles, mixed doubles, mano-a-mano, teams competition, youth, seniors, handicapped, and an 'open' category (whatever that is).
Perhaps you and the DDBlog staff could enter and drum up attention for your Sustack efforts and your new book. I guess your staff entrants would be you, Walter, blogs-herald, and let's see, who else? Would have been nice to have judi still around (for many reasons), but I don't see anything about what is considered 'mixed' doubles so I guess judi will just have to go pound sand, or maybe she will enter under her own affiliation. By the way, how is the book sales going? Have not yet seen a copy show up at my used paperback book store, but I will keep an eye out and let you know.
Anyway, just thought you'd like to know. Ciao
