This happened on an episode of Leave it to Beaver when Beaver ran away from home heading for Chicago, found tens of thousands of dollars, then lied to Ward about it because Eddie advised him, "don't tell your old man where you got it, keep it Sam."
Remember, Ward cornered Eddie in Lumpy's driveway then knocked Eddie's central incisors out and told him Wally was going to clobber him if He told. Mary Ellen Rogers thought Eddie looked funny with no front teeth and started dating Wally. Beave and Whitey bought a bunch frogs with the money and scared June. She threatened to leave Ward and take all Beaver's money with her. Unable to sort out their differences, June left. Ward traveled to Hollywood and became a big time actor landing a star role in this sci-fi new found career launching thriller.
