I checked the wiki and was gobsmacked to find that The Doobie Brothers band formed not on NYC, but in San Jose, CA.

Municipal Doobie and the Unsecured Sorbet was one of the little known rejected names for The Eagles, or maybe Flo and Eddie.
Dave, our all-pervasive cannabis smell comes from the thousands of recently opened "drug" stores on every other corner, only trailing Starbucks and Duane Reades. Of course, 99% are unlicensed, so there's a piquant Russian roulette feel to marijuana purchases.

It's much cheaper and more convenient to order your sorbet wholesale by the ton. They deliver right to your door.
It makes sense -- that's how most New Yorker's buy their pot.

No Falstaff, Schlitz, Colt 45 or Pabst? Are these researchers drunk?

You're supposed to capture a video of patient responding to embarrassing questions, or cajole them into making revealing candid statements, while they're still recovering from the anesthetic. Then you post the video on YouTube. Big laughs!

Duane Reade used to be a pretty cool guy. Then, a couple years ago, he got really paranoid.

One more thing, if I may.
Let's all take a minute today and remember nursecindy on what would have been her birthday.

I would have to start doing drugs before I would even consider going to NYC. :P
Also, the Blog might be inhaling today as for some reason the story about Valerie the sausage dog was there, then there twice, and now it is gone!

Jeff, thanks for the reminder. We miss nursecindy.

I shared this story with a friend who lives in Brooklyn. She was quick to point out that in Brooklyn sorbet remains "free range."

If I told you how many before and after x-rays of wisdom teeth I have taken you would understand my explanation to many patients as they view their digital wisdom tooth digital x-ray image on screen.
"The never-to-become-fully-developed wisdom tooth is, as you can clearly see now if you look here on screen, crowding or pushing against the fully developed-highly useful second molar and could over time cause irreparable damage to the root of your good second molar resulting even possible loss of your good molar."
"Does this mean I have to have my wisdom teeth removed?"
"Probably, but lets let the Dr. take a look at the x-ray and she what she thinks. Maybe you can be referred to my oral surgeon for extraction. His father was a veterinarian."
"Is He good?"
"Oh yes, and if you need to be de-wormed He can do that too. There may be a small amount of pain if you require the de-worming procedure."
