You laugh now but the guy is great enough, apparently reaching worldwide, to have a canyon named after him.
Dedicating our own canyon as 'Grand Hang Dong Canyon' has a nice ring to it.

Exclusive 'off topic advice related' post to the blog: Some friends recently planned to buy a house in Chaing Mai until mrs man tom asked and informed, "why would you do that?"
Plans are to now buy a house in Arcadia, CA.
