The article says the woman also swerved her car attempting to hit him. She repeatedly told police that she was upset and did not mean to cause him harm.

What did you expect the office to say, princess? "In that case, ma'am, you are free to go" ?

I think I knew her grandmother back in the Mesozoic Era when I was a police reporter on the Waco Tribune-Herald. Across the street from the Trib, in a bad part of town, was Pat's Idle Hour Lounge. Little white reporters were allowed to spend their allowances there only during the afternoon; never at night. Once time a girly reporter e dropped her earring on the floor under the bar table. I got down on my knees, which stick to the floor, and found the earring. Along with a bloody broken Coors ashtray and the bottom half of somebody's ear.
