In Phuket they are called Toilets. So if you go there and are looking for a Restroom sign, no chance of seeing one. Look for Toilet signs. FYI, if you have have had an Filipino English teacher, I now this for a fact, you will pronounce the word toilet, Doilet.
So, if you visiting Phuket and ask, "Where's the Doilet?" You will likely get this response. "I had Bert for English, too, right over Dhere."
