The court banned Ms Loftus from driving for 40 months and ordered her to complete 100 hours of unpaid work.
Would that courts in the U.S.A. would have the guts to apply the same penalty to DUI drivers.

In the UK version of "English" the crime is drink driving. Another example of US/UK being separated by a common language!

RochPete, Thank you for the explanation. Often the Brits insert a “u.” In this case they apparently swapped it out.
Won’t give credence to other myths by suggesting the driver here got drink on warm beer.
