BECAUSE THE BARS THERE STAY OPEN LATER?

Why do nearly all of Vancouver's crows fly to Burnaby at night?

Because the murder rates are much higher Vancouver.

To get to the other side?

"Dr. John M. Marzluff is interested in both how humans affect birds and how birds affect people. .. When asked what differentiates crows in Metro Vancouver from ones south of the border, he says, 'Not much.'"

"Locals typically only congregate for practical reasons, including food, roasting, and some socialization."

Really .. the crows are roasting? "A funny thing happened on the way to the roast" is not something I would expect a crow to say.

They used to flock in a central location in Rockville, Maryland some 30 years ago. They roosted in a grove of trees between commercial offices and a shopping center at the intersection of Randolph Road and Rockville Pike. There were hundreds of them in the treetops towards dusk, cawing softly amongst themselves. They stayed the night and flew off in smaller flocks the next morning.

Why do nearly all of Vancouver's crows fly to Barnaby at night?

To see him perform a song from his new album before He moves on to make an appeaance in Toronto.

So how many crows are there in a tonnes?

kwerty,
They were still doing that 10 years ago.

Because the rents are lower?

Because it's a shorter trip than taking an Uber.

It's just a craving that comes over them. A Burnaby Jones, if you will.
