This reminds of these TV shows that have spin offs or squeals - for example, the show 'Happy Days' was spun off to 'Joanie Loves Chachi'. There are others like this - the vomitus from one show is repackaged and sometimes one lives.
However, one memorable thing about Happy Days is that is where the old saying 'Jump the Shark' derives from - Henry Winkler's place in history.
