Cloud chambers are actually pretty cool. Even when I was working at a particle detector as a grad student, seeing streaks appear in the simple cloud chamber some of the other grad students built was really neat. Particle physics at one point was predominantly building these chambers and taking photos of the cloud traces.

Isn't a particle just half of a testicle?

I actually built one of these as a science fair project back in about 1970. I didn't win. Curse you, Mrs. Hackler!

Building home made particle detectors is easy.
On the other hand, building home made particle accelerators tends to upset the neighbors.

I built my own from instructions in Popular Science and all I could capture were morons.

Pullet,
Why did you let them go? Now we have an infestation of morons!
