JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - A woman visiting her son in the Craighead County Juvenile Detention Center ended up facing misdemeanor charges herself after sheriff’s deputies said she broke the glass out of a cancer fundraising candy machine and stole several handfuls.

In her defense, she thought it worked like those "in case of emergency break glass" fire alarms.

She obviously does not know anyone who has or has had leukemia or lymphoma. Community service with cancer patients would fix that.

She could become a new Batman villian. How about "CandyMom"?

There's no greater love than a mother's love and her gift of a candy bar she swiped from a cancer fundraising candy machine.
