My wife and I just attended a wedding where we were warned ahead of time the reception dinner would feature an all-vegan menu. As a guy who grew up on a steady diet of Philly cheesesteaks, I must admit I was a wee bit apprehensive. Imagine my surprise and delight to find out anything—and I mean anything—tastes delicious, including unidentifiable vegetable matter, if it’s deep-fried first. I’ll take my scorpion extra-crispy, please!

Begin the preparation process of lavender coffee syrup recipe by combining water and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely. Add the dried lavender and bring the mixture to a simmer. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing the lavender to infuse its flavor into the syrup.
