Hieroglyphs and petroglyphs warned us from long ago that this would one day happen.

"Now Zeppelin, you will stay after school and write 100 times on the chalkboard, "I will not pull Kezia's hair out by the roots again."
"Yeah, when monkey's fly out your butt. I'm having you investigated."

My youngest was part of the experiment of removing cursive from the classroom. He could not read letters from my family when they were in cursive. He couldn't read my shopping list unless it was printed. I found that very sad.
I had a friend whose young son had dysgraphia. (this was about 20 years ago) She said that when the class copied down the list of spelling words to study for the coming week, her son would be on #4 and the rest of the class was done and moving on. It was humiliating for him. So she sent an HP Toughbook with him to school. The administration didn't like it, but that turned things around for him. They said my friend had to buy laptops for everyone in the class.
"Really," she asked. "The entire class has all been diagnosed with a learning disability and you're saying I'm responsible for providing laptops? .. Think again."

On a personal note. An exclusive to the blog.
I was never so grateful for learning to read cursive as I was after High School Jr. year when my High school sweetheart wrote the following in my year book. Yes in cursive.
Your a super neat guy. Don't get fooled and think those other chicks like you as much as I do cause they couldn't (They couldn't put up with you). If we ever break up (I hope we don't) I'll still love ya and be thinking about you while you are with your friends. I had a lot of fun with you and I'll start wearing your ring. I love you now and forever. We have a lot of fights dont we? But they always say, "you always hurt the one you love," so I'm trying to show you how much I love you. Remember me the girl who drives you crazy.
Love you always and forever.
Note: After we broke up my new girlfriend at that time - I had just graduated from high school, (I recently learned,) made 3 million dollars a year! Let me say this about her. She had nice cursive and was madly in love with me, too.

None of us learned to sign everything with our fingertips.

John Beresford Tipton knew how to sign a check.
(You kids won't get this.)

A kid once asked me the time. I said it was a quarter to four. He couldn't comprehend that. I had to say 3:45.

The way I see it is when IQ's are reported they are usually stated as 'The Average IQ'. So I guess you could have a bunch of people with IQ's below 100 would become geniuses if they would attract one person with an IQ of, say 125, then the average IQ of the 'group' would likely be over 100, capice" An IQ of over 100 is considered the 'genius level' isn't it? Any geniuses in the DBblog-o-sphere that can verify this?

"Previous studies have revealed that IQ scores have dropped for the first time in a century and indicated that technology could be to blame".
This is the exact reason why AI is so popular.
