Martin said..."both he and Trevors said they would like to try the fishing derby on Saturday."

The holes must be a mile long, given that your drives would roll for 1000 yards.

Update:
Martin said he is also looking forward to the snowmobile races, while both he and Trevors said they would like to try the fishing derby on Saturday.
Note: The snowmobile races and fishing derby will go on as planned despite the nation being mired in a state of total chaos as the badly shaken governing bodies, the Crown, the Senate, and the House of Commons remain in a state of unmitigated confusion struggling for final resolution despite the high number of potential unglued participants.

I wonder what the penalty strokes are for falling thru the ice? Do you have to play the ball at the bottom of the lake?

Won't their balls be frozen?

While stationed at MCB Quantico, VA, people would play golf with snow on the ground in the winter. No putting; just get the bright yellow ball close enough to the hole.
