THANK GOD FOR NEW RESEARCH
New research has revealed that pop music lyrics really have been dumbed down over the last 40 years.
(Thanks to Barry Nester and Al Barkafski, who says "For this we needed a study?")
In our day, when we sang "Papa-Oom-Mow-Mow" it meant something.
How is that even possible ?

‘Additionally, all genres showed an increase in the use of anger-related words.’
Is that the lyrics, or the reactions of people listening to that crap?

Yeah, it meant "I'm stoned out of my gourd, and may possibly have ingested something that came on blotter paper, and have you ever, like, looked at your hands?"

Well, I nearly gave up interest including ever listening to music again when this instrument was heard front and center in every song played on the FM radio.

This is why I am constantly having people aged thirties to seventies compliment me on my T-shirt, which reads:
"It is NOT because I'm old -
Your music really does SUCK"

Hey, my generation worked very hard to get things to this point - it took a lot of hard work to do this. You can't just not recognize hard work. Some of these people went to the finest reform schools their parent's money could buy, and those who did not graduate were given a chance to go back and get their diploma. So back off.
