Veteran snake catcher wants new generation to take over NSW job but there's not a lot of interest

Perhaps the new generation wishes to someday become the old generation.

These include evidence they have completed a practical reptile handling course or have at least two years of experience in handling venomous snakes.

After completing the practicals, there are the compulsories. They deduct points for poor form or swinging the reptile like a hammer thrower - they must show proficiency using either left or right hand and be able to trace a figure eight and convex dodecahedron.


Can I get credit for all the snakes I wrestled at my old job?

This is one job with great security — it will never be replaced by AI or autonomous robots, unless they or the snakes take over the planet.
