THAT'S ONLY *ONE* OF THE STRANGEST TRADITIONS?

One of the strangest and most mysterious traditions at New Hampshire's Plymouth State University made its return with two pumpkins impaled on the spires of a large clock tower.

Certainly worth the price of tuition.

Whomever did this is obviously out of their gourd! 🎃

Cornell copied the stunt in 1997. I have degrees from both PSU and Cornell, and pumpkins were never my priority.

I guess they eventually rot and slough off. Or is there an Official Pumpkin Removal Steeplejack?
