The only use most people make of ketchup is on fries or onion rings. Cold ketchup cools what every you put it on. Who likes cold fries? So if you put ketchup in the frig the procedure is to squirt it into a cup and microwave it for a few seconds before putting on hot fries. Or you only use ketchup in those little plastic bags that require bold cutters to open.

I solved the problem by never using ketchup. I was once called un-American for eating mustard with French fries.

The only proper way to eat "French fries" (i.e. chips) is with lots of salt and vinegar. Unless you're Dutch: they eat it with mayonnaise (yes, it's true!) Of course, Quebecois will spread cheese curds on it and call it "poutine", but they're just being ornery.

I guess you could say this has been an ongoing subject of all the mass debaters.
