Cat: "What kind of duck is THAT?"

When the cat wakes up, and discovers big bird is there, there goes the cat.

We have a friend that feeds the stray cats on his back porch. One day, two p-cocks flew in. One of the p-cocks fanned out his tail, terrorized the cats (and they scattered). The p-cock brought in his tail, and both began to eat the cat's kibble.

I wonder who would win the animal encounter: cat or peacock? Cats have fangs, claws while the peacock can probably kick viciously.....

That cat sort of looks like it just returned from D1sneyWorld with a souvenir.

Awww.

Don't miss this Coral Gables Actors' Playhouse production of The Odd Couple next spring.

"I used to be the symbol of NBC. Do you call this home or are you a stray?"

"I was a roadie for a few years. I got to paw his Gretch once."

LeDud - My money is on the bird, hands (feathers?) down.
Peacocks are mean. And tough.
I'm in the frozen North. I visited one of our local breweries. One of their employees had a) worked there her entire life and b) kept peacocks and peahens as pets.
When she passed away, the owners decided that, rather than send the birds to a zoo, they'd set the birds free and count on the winter to 'do the right thing'.
It didn't. When I visited, there were a lot of these very large birds everywhere. Some we roosting 25' off the ground.

A very funny story of feral cats, a peacock, and a mouse:

I suspect fowl play.

Peafowl have wicked, sharp spurs on the backs of their legs. They can do significant damage with them, probably more than a match for a cat.

They're just having a confab about the squirrel situation.

Ah, a cat's reach should exceed its grasp, or what's a heaven for?

The cat will lose, and the p-cock will win. The p-cock is MUCH larger than the cat, and cats typically don't go after things larger then they are.
