STRUMPDATE

Here I am on a Portland (Ore.) TV station talking about my new book, which apparently is called "Swap Story."

I guess it says something about the interviewee when he has this giant guitar on his left shoulder that is a visual distraction from the entire purpose of this interview. Rather than "Let me talk about my new book." this appears to me as "Look at my very expensive giant guitar I have on my left shoulder." Sort of makes me want to buy a new guitar rather than buy a book. I'm just saying.

Unfortunately, the only story that the interviewer was able to swap was the time that the camera went live while she was, er, getting nosy.

Dave wrote a book!?!

Filmed as a veiled threat to the Florida Guv that it's still not too early to rethink his decision to enter the campaign?

When my cat was alive, Spunky the Magic Cat, she would see me picking up my guitar then run with the speed you always see on film of a Jaguar at full pace hurtling forward, muscles bulging finding her way usually under a bed expecting her death to occur at any second.

So, I've been writing my memoir right here on the blog for decades. If I was to remind mrs man tom I am busy writing my memoir she would say, "nobody will read your memoir and shut my door if you play that guitar." A new guitar I purchased will be delivered by Fed Ex tomorrow. Also, a new guitar stand, tuner and a repair was recently made to my Stratocaster. I have been getting back into practice and noticed some roofers in the subdivision above ours have been listening to my recent practice sessions. The lady who lives next door would be calling me sayin to please turn it down, she is trying to get some sleep except for the fact she moved away 30 odd years ago. Took away all my fun when she did that. Anyway I bought hollow body electric jazz friendly type guitar one like I always wanted. The one I always wanted is like 3 to 4K. I settled for one which should rival my first electric guitar.

I enjoyed watching that interview. I'm about 18 pages further into the book I was several days ago. Hurt the ligaments in my thumb practicing. I hurt when I turn the page.

What a great interview! I can't wait for the memoir to come out.

So it's a trade publication.

I thought it was called “Sob Story”.
