STRUMPDATE

Fine even last night at the Frugal Muse bookstore. On hand were two blog legends: Not My Usual Alias -- who introduced me and baffled thrilled the crowd by wearing a gator onesie -- and The Amazing Steve, who came dressed as a regular human. Tonight I'll be in Parma, Ohio, for a 7 p.m. event for the Cuyahoga County Public Library. Come on out, Cleveland-area people! Even if you don't have a reptile costume!

Great photo, folks. Who's that wearing the Dave Barry costume?

Dave, it's Ohio, so you need to make it perfectly clear that clothing is required in one form or another.

Meanie, that was Dave in the Dave Barry costume. It was very authentic.

Hi, NMUA and The Amazing Steve! Hey, Dave!

Nice pic!

Somebody wear a squirrel costume. That'll start something.

Yay NMUA and The Amazing Steve! Dave too.

I'm hoping that librarians at the next venue will pick up the theme.

Can I wear my leftover Coronation stuff?

Hope you're enjoying the tour, Dave!

Glad to see that Not My Usual Alias decided to come as my favorite Broadway musical star.

What...? Internet people are real people ?!

I was confused until now. I had only heard rumors about his his unusual alias.

Maybe NMUA got confused and thought Dave was really Monty Hall doing a taping of Let's Make a Deal. Where's Carol Merrill?

AmoebaStampede -- I think we have the same tailor. Tailer?

The guy in the background looking at his phone was obviously texting someone to tell them how thrilled he was.

Dave is there where you peed in your designer gown?

Also, I heard that some of the people that showed up were a little confused when you autographed their books with "Best wishes and good reading, Barry Manilow".

The lady in the background is engaging in what would be considered a shocking PDA here in Japan. But the gator onesie would be viewed favorably. :-)
