A smart author would admit to the world that all his books were written under the influence and resulted in world renowned literary reputation and millions of copies of books sold worldwide. Once that word gets out, well can see where your popularity would take a significant jump, equates to more books sold. "Dude, you gotta read this book. This guy claims he wrote all these books stoned on weed." And do not forget there are those of us that are using edible gummies cause we can't stand the stink of that burning macrame. Don't know what the laws are like in Florida but you could say that Walter is your pusher.
