Not depressing...? Good to know. I was afraid McDonald's was going to have to ditch Ronald and get Alanis Morissette for its spokesperson.

A study that claims that you will get depressed if you have French fries is more depressing than if you have French fries.

Yes, no French fries will make you depressed as you do need fries with that.

As if anybody really thought that they would.

Why, no, the 50 pounds I have gained eating french fries doesn't make me anxious or depressed at all.

Did they include curly fries in the study?

Apparently this is based on data from UK participants. No-one, repeat no-one, in the UK uses the phrase french fries. They're called chips, they've always been called chips, that's why its called a chip shop. A french fries shop would just be stupid.

So how come the article says "headlines" about eating french fries makes you depressed. So stop reading the "headlines." And who are these 'expert's - are they same 'experts' that intrude themselves into other 'scientific' studies. Do they hire blind scientists to do their double-blind studies?

To wanderer 2575:

It's not the fries on your thighs, that's no surprise.
Nor the sauce that you toss all those starchy things in,
It's the pain in your brain that makes you insane
