THANK YOU

Automakers are starting to admit that drivers hate touchscreens. Buttons are back!

Buttons are a poor substitute for flying cars and jet packs.

Soon they will be replacing keyless start with bra clasps as a theft deterrent.

Tom Paris had the right idea when he designed the Delta Flyer for the Starship Voyager.

It won't matter once fully self-crashing cars take over the market.

Car touch screens are... like...kinda TV's. What New Age genius thought that was a good idea ?

This will not effect me. When I look for a 'new' used car I'm lucky if I can find one with locks on he doors and a steering wheel that doesn't become optional 'accessories'.

Up until about six months ago I was driving an 18 year old car that still had roll down windows and a cassette player.

@Clankie: Elon Musk, when he first bought into Tesla.

@guy: the used car you're describing now is likely to cost more than a new one.

@nursecindy: my son's car is now 20 and also has a cassette player. But it does have power windows.

I was gobsmacked by this from the article: "Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg said that “further research” is needed before addressing the obvious risks that oversized SUVs and trucks pose to those not inside of them."

What - "more research is needed BEFORE addressing the OBVIOUS risks ... to THOSE not inside of them."? Huh?

I miss the vent windows on the driver and passenger side of the car. AC places a drain of the engine. Nature is free.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, NURSECINDY!

Thank you MOTW!

Push buttons are really depressing.
