TALK ABOUT YOUR WORTHY CAUSES

Bruce McConville, the Ottawa businessman who told an incredulous judge in 2020 that he burned $1 million in cash so his ex-wife wouldn’t get a dime was set to have a fundraiser for himself on Saturday to pay legal bills.

The judge was surprised at the guy's answers in court - "Burned your money?" Well here is another big surprise for you - "I hereby sentence you to be hanged by the neck until dead tomorrow at sunrise."

This is the Canadian definition of chutzpah, like the guy who murders his parents then throws himself on the mercy of the court because he's an orphan.
