I had an uncle who ran a dairy farm. I visited when I was a kid and ate family meals at a large table filled with everything prepared from vegetables and meat raised right there on the farm. I always dreamed of being a voluntary fireman. No I didn't...

The article did not talk about the important point - he is only allowed to drive his car out to the end of his driveway to get his mail. And then back into the garage. He does say that it is his one pleasure in life and he makes the whole trip down and back with his blinker on.
