What's the mystery? They look and act like goats. Pretty soon they will cry "Wee Wee Wee all the way home". Or is that "We are poor little goats that have lost our way, bah bah bah."
No big deal. With the diversity of people that live in SF goats are a vital part of things like: Halel (Muslim cuisine) and cooked goat called cabrito in Latin American cuisine. Even though I took Latin in junior high school we never did discuss Spanish cuisine names - more like Vidi, vici, veni.

"Five Mystery Goats" was changed to "Five Golden Rings" in the final version of "The Twelve Days of Christmas".
