FOOD, NOT PETS

Six giant African land snails have been found in the luggage of a traveler who flew to Michigan from the west African country of Ghana.

(Thanks to EricY and Sean T, who says "Progress in the investigation had been slow.")

Well, they're land snails so you wouldn't expect them to swim here, would you?

So, ES cargo?

Emotional Support Snails (ESS)?

They "carry a parasite called the rat lungworm that can cause meningitis in humans. They also can produce up to 1,200 eggs a year."

The Ghanaian said he was going to eat them.

What's for supper, hon'?
Giant Snail with rat lungworm, in heavy grease.
Uh .. I just remembered something I have to do.

The verse "Six geese a laying" replaced the original version "Six giant African land snails".

Why'd he fly them? Haven't they heard of snail mail in Ghana?

Ah, rat lungworms, that explains the lack of Giant African Land Snail-mobiles touring the country.
