Poor Sophie must dread dad dragging her artwork out every year. She ought to produce an updated version!
Merry Christmas to all the Blog peeps. You all do continue to be the funniest group of people I've never met!
Stay warm, and stay safe. Me? I'm going out in the 68 degree sunshine and politely scoff at those who don't live in California :)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to each of you. I can't believe it's almost been 365 days since I failed to become a better person.
I can hardly wait to read Dave's Year in Review.
My resolution this year, mindfulness. If I can remember that until next Sunday I'll be all set.

Merry Christmas to you all!
Here's what I'm sure someone in our lives will experience on some level tomorrow.
Nonetheless, we carry on in good spirits as best we can.

Merry Christmas to all, MWAH back at MOTW, and a song for my fellow blogsters, mostly by John Prine:
“It was Christmas in prison
The food was real good
We had turkey and pistols
Carved out of wood
And I dream of [you] always
Even when I don’t dream
[Your] name’s on my tongue”
And your comments are a scream

Was the night after Christmas
and all through the dungeon
Santa came in
wielding a truncheon
The miscreants were hung
by the chains on their wrists
Santa smoked on his bong
and checked on his list
“You were the children
who may as well rot
you hoped I would come,
milk and cookies you forgot.”
Merry Christmas to all, and 2023 has got to be better, right?

Merry Christmas everyone! Thanks for all the laughs and fun!
Special mentions go to Australia and the Flathead County Police Blotter and, of course, to all those who can claim to be Florida Man!

Merry Christmas to Dave and his family and all you crazy, lovable BlogFolk. I appreciate the laughs (and some tears) that we have shared, lo these many years. I'm looking forward to more of the same in 2023. *hugs everyone*

If I may be allowed to quote Dave here..."Meanwhile, for a few exciting hours, a trending topic on political Twitter, which we swear we are not making up, is “testicle tanning.” Don’t even ask." To me, nothing evokes the holiday spirit as much as Dave's continued commitment tp free speech by prohibiting black-balling here on the blog, while endorsing brown-balling. Like have a Happy & a Merry, man!

How does the 2022 Year in Review get published on the Post's website before the Herald's website/
I suspect the work of Gene Weingarten.
Merry Christmas all...

'Twas the night before Christmas and Santa's a wreck ...
How to live in a world that's politically correct?
His workers no longer would answer to "Elves,"
"Vertically Challenged" they were calling themselves.
And labor conditions at the North Pole Were alleged by the union to stifle the soul.
Four reindeer had vanished, without much propriety,
Released to the wilds by the Humane Society.
And equal employment had made it quite clear
That Santa had better not use just reindeer.
So Dancer and Donner, Comet and Cupid, were replaced with four pigs, and you know that looks stupid!
The runners had been removed from his sleigh;
The ruts were termed dangerous by the EPA.
And people had started to call for the cops
When they heard sled noises on their rooftops.
Second-hand smoke from his pipe and to show you the strangeness of life's ebbs and flows,
Rudolph was suing over unauthorized use of his nose
And had gone on Geraldo, in front of the nation,
Demanding millions in overdue compensation.
So, half of the reindeer were gone; and his wife, who suddenly said she'd had enough of this life,
Joined a self-help group, packed and left in a whiz,
Demanding from now on her title was Ms.
And as for the fits, why, he'd ne'er had a notion
That making a choice could cause such a commotion.
Nothing of leather, nothing of fur,Which meant nothing for him. And nothing for her.
Nothing that might be construed to pollute.
Nothing to aim. Nothing to shoot.
Nothing that clamored or made lots of noise.
Nothing for just girls. Or just for the boys.
Nothing that claimed to be gender specific.
Nothing that's warlike or nonpacific.
No candy or sweets ... they were bad for the tooth.
Nothing that seemed to embellish a truth.
And fairy tales, while not yet forbidden,
Were like Ken and Barbie, better off hidden.
For they raised the hackles of those psychologicalWho claimed the only good gift was one ecological.
No baseball, no football ... someone could get hurt;
Besides, playing sports exposed kids to dirt.
Dolls were said to be sexist, and should be passe;
And Nintendo would rot your entire brain away. So Santa just stood there, disheveled, perplexed;
He could not figure out what to do next.
He tried to be merry, tried to be gay,
But you've got to be careful with that word today.
His sack was quite empty, limp to the ground;
Nothing fully acceptable was to be found.
Something special was needed, a gift that he might
Give to all without angering the left or the right.
A gift that would satisfy, with no indecision.
Each group of people, every religion;
Every ethnicity, every hue,
Everyone, everywhere. ... even you.So here is that gift, its price beyond worth ...
"May you and your loved ones enjoy Peace on Earth." ...found this on the tweeter, thnx JB
