CHICAGO DEMANDS A RECOUNT

New York is not America’s rattiest city

(Thanks to Not My Usual Alias, a Chicagoan, who says “#1 for rats AND we don’t have LaGuardia.”)

I would have thought Orlando (actually Kissimmee) or Anaheim would be the rattiest. Because Micky would have brought his friends there.

Politics is politics.

The wild boars aren't going to take this sitting down.

A few years ago, a firm that was new to the Chicago market asked to borrow something. My directions for their clerk to pick up the material was to go down the alley across the street from their front door that opened to our loading dock.

"Just bring a food offering for the rats if you go back the same way" led to a request for directions to the dock without going down an alley.

I blame global warming (& Canada).

Best use of the term "Vermination Campaign."

@NMUA - good story

We're #38!

American rats
I said, get away
American rats
Listen what I say
Don't come hangin' 'round my door
Don't want to see your face no more
I don't need you you're unclean
I don't need your ghetto scenes
Beady eyes can hypnotize
Sparkle someone else's eyes

American rats
Stay away from me

I gotta go, I gotta get away
You fink, I gotta go, I wanna fly away
I'm gonna leave you, rats
I'm gonna leave you, rats

Bye-bye, bye-bye
Bye-bye, bye-bye

I gotta go
I gotta go, American rat

@man tom - Excellent work!

Fun fact: Unsurprisingly, after sending the American woman away on the A side of that single, the song on the B side was No Sugar Tonight.

Mad hatter - A grade school friend, through high school, and I listened to the Guess Who, those songs mentioned, cruising around 'picking up v=chicks, HAR, on many occasions. I had the 8-track in my '69 Chevell SS396 when we took my car. He has a 67 Chevelle SS396 and later a second ;67 396. TThen He had a 1970 SS 454 which took Super Street Eliminator at the track most weekends. I had the thrill of racing an old '64 Chevy Conv. down that 1/4 mile track when I was 16 years old. You know on approach to the 'Christmas Tree' starting light, you burn your tires making a smelly plume of smoke surfacing above the car. You tehn pull up to the 'Christmas Tree' and the light starts at the top working it's way downward - red - yellow - yellow -yellow GREEN! Blast off! I raced down the strip several times that days most notably narrowly losing out to a mustang. I took a young friend with me that day. He sat in the stands. He told me the announcer said when I lost, "If that '64 Ragtop comes back next week He'll need a couple 9f new doors, He just got his blown off!" But, I won a trophy! I won a large trophy for being the only car in my class due to the snow tires I was running. I still have the trophy. I came it across it the other day and know where it is now. I would have to get a ladder to get down from where I have it stored now or I would take a picture.

We really did pick up chicks! Unforgettable summers, forgettable girlfriends. Yes, Burton Cummings and Randy Bachman were great! Sing along great in those bucket seats. Some years later I saw Bachman Turner Overdrive at a drive in theatre near where I lived. I still burn their songs to the CD's I listen to in my car to this day.

Oh, did you live close-by to guy who parked his partially gray primered vet out in front of his house a lot? My friend and I stopped by to make conversation about the bitchin' vet He had and met a couple of chicks in the process. I may have picked you up! You may remember These Eyes in a different light if you think back.
