I'm not sure air guitar had been invented when Woodstock took place, but if the phrase had not yet been coined this clip was way before air Guitar's time.

AUGUST 14, 1969 - Woodstock
Nearly 400,000 people attend this chaotic music festival held in a farm field in Bethel, NY. Joan Baez, Jimi Hendrix, the Who, the Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, and Sly and the Family Stone and more perform. Joe Cocker invents the Air Guitar.
August 1969 - man tom registers for first year high school with two buddies who pull fire extinguisher off the wall and blow plaster all up and down the halls. Chaos nearly ensues when man tom and friends meet up with a really tough guy who walks around pointing at fellow students saying, "I'm going to kick your ass."
