Shouldn't we be happy with the salty, fake cheese and calorie-laden chemical snacks that we already have ?

This actually has been a basket ingredient on Chopped more than once, which should surprise nobody. And of course there's always one chef who says "I use these in my restaurant all the time, so I have the advantage."

Did he get the idea while washing the windshields of passing cars at the local intersection?

If you don't eat yer caterpillars, you can't have any pudding.
How can you have any pudding if you don't eat yer caterpillars?

Cockroach racing is a popular summer sport in Flathead County. People really just go to them for the wrecks, but no one ever eats the losers, or the winners. A person would have to be certified buggy to eat roaches, caterpillars, etc. Discount hot dogs are risky enough.

Since "mopane" rhymes with "propane", I assume they'll try to sell us on how great these things taste grilled.

Sorry. My grill is reserved for vertebrates.

Wasn’t this an episode of Skippy The Bush Kangaroo?

So that's why we don't have flying cars yet! I had no idea they were going to be edible!
