Dogs have the potential to be bilingual, a recent study finds

Apparently, so is my cat, which explains why I'm unable to read whatever he's typed when he walks across my keyboard.

Years ago, I adopted a dog who was bilingual.

He ignored me in both languages.

Since they understand at least one human language, and dog, doesn't that make them bilingual already?

Cats have the ability to ignore you even in Klingon.
