One of these flying cars would be fun. That is until you have been flying like a bird, carefree, enjoying the scenery and freedom of flight before you realize you are at an elevation of 1,000 feet and you've been airborne for 21 minutes.

I also understand a pilot's license may not be required. What could possibly go wrong?

Maybe it's just me but, I think people need to learn how to drive on the ground before they start thinking about flying cars.

One of the first things a new pilot learns is takeoffs are optional. Landings are not.
