7.5-foot-long mushroom canoe earns Guinness World Record

I think I saw one of these being crowd-surfed at the last Dead concert.

"The power of fungi" sounds like something a comic book character would say to invoke his powers. I assume that power would be decomposition of organic matter, since that's what fungi do. I've been in situations where that would have been a nice power to have.

There was an attempt to build one of these mushroom canoes here in Flathead County a few years ago. The builders reportedly gave up, sold the canoe to some nice folks with Nevada plates and haven't been seen since.

We're gonna need a lot of bread crumbs and butter for stuffing.

Waiter: "Would you like a sauteed canoe with your steak?"
