An unreliable friend tells me that he had a relation who owned an oyster farm in Louisiana. Like this farmer, he had problems with oyster pirates. He tried putting a note on the cages that read,
"Danger, one of these oysters has been poisoned!"
The next time he checked, the signs had been changed to read,
"Danger, TWO of these oysters have been poisoned!"
