Get back to us when they can be hooked up to a generator or at least a ceiling fan.

A hamster operated generator would be good to have, but the cat hazard will keep it from being a widespread power source. Also, every time the lead hamster fell off the treadmill, we would suffer a power outage. And on the subject of clean energy, the bottom of a hamster cage is toxic waste.

Given all the drawbacks it's still a better idea than a wind turbine powered by cow farts.

Meanwhile the world awaits a breakthrough on Burmese python treadmills.

I'd be more impressed with a squirrel treadmill.

I'd be even more impressed if the belt on the treadmill was made of squirrel hide.

That is some expensive cabinet-grade plywood being used for the contraption. I'm sure the hamsters would be insulted with less fancy materials.

How about miniature flying cars?
