I loved that after passing the cop on the wrong side of the road, he pulled over and when the cop came up behind him, helpfully tried to wave him around.

The man showed bad Texas etiquette, he should have offered the game warden a full, unopened beer from the cooler.

In some counties it's considered good etiquette to first inquire if he's a game warden, and if the reply is yes to then shoot him, on the pretext that he did agree to being game.
