YOU KNOW THOSE COOL-LOOKING BRIDGES THAT ARE MADE OF GLASS SO YOU CAN LOOK STRAIGHT DOWN, AND YOU FIGURE THEY ARE ENGINEERED TO BE PERFECTLY SAFE?

Yeah, no.

I don't know that anybody who'd walk onto a bridge of ANY construction in 90 mph winds could be considered in "stable emotional" condition.

Those who fall through glass Paris bridge are in Seine.

There's a glass-bottomed cantilevered observation deck at the Grand Canyon.
Somehow I managed to not get within 20' of it.

Confusius say: "Men who walk on glass bridge have shattered mind & shfarted arse".

@Rod, I was thinking the same thing. The bridge keeper should have closed both entrances to the bridge once winds were above the safety threshold .. I don't know, maybe above 35 mph?

I don't like steel and concrete bridges so there's no way I'd get on one of these. The worst bridge I've ever been on is the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel in Virginia. It's 3.5 miles long and most of it is underwater. I lived there for five years and it seems like we went across it at least once a week. I made a lot of promises to God while going across that bridge.

If the floor of a glass bridge blew away, how would you know before it was too late?

"If I had a hammer . . ."
SING ALONG

@ChrisinVa - there are always a couple nanoseconds of realization. I learned that from watching Wile E Coyote and his Acme Roadrunner-Catching supplies.

A glass bridge?
"Don't worry" you said.
"It'll be fine" you said.
"What could go wrong" you said.
