OTHER THAN THAT, A ROUTINE FLIGHT

Unoccupied plane takes off, flies 1.5 miles and crashes into Merrick County field

(Thanks to Steve Bradford, who asks "Did they check for squirrels?")

Tesla's making small planes now?

Was it heading toward Florida?

Live your life as if someone left the gate open.

Are we sure it wasn't the Flathead County dog?

Derp! I suppose someone ought to have told the mechanic about a nifty thing called wheel chocks. They're very useful with rolly-polly wheelie combustion engine thingies.

@MOTW: The mechanic probably wasn't licensed, either. Remember, this is Nebraska.

A guy repairing a fence near where the plane crashed said he saw two squirrels run from the wreckage unharmed, high five each other and run away. He didn't mention this because everybody in Nebraska knows there ain't no such thing as flyin' squirrels.

@ Clankie - Hey, I'm making that my new life motto!
