A representative of Dollar General, 3416 Montvale Road, Maryville, reported at 10:24 a.m. April 5 that two women tried to buy several gift cards with a counterfeit $1 million bill. One of the women said she received the $1 million bill in the mail from a church and that she was going to buy items for care packages for homeless people, an incident report states.

It came from church so it MUST be OK

It's a Fake Prosperity Gospel

I'd have been inclined to give her the change in pennies.

They received change from the $1,000,000 bill in the form of a $400,000 and two $300,000 bills...

The perp was overheard saying, "I'm on a mission from God."

Oh, sure, you got it in the mail. You threw in a buck and snatched the $1M bill from the collection plate as it went by.

You two are such a disappointing pair. I prayed so hard for you. It saddens and hurts me to think that the two I raised to believe in The Ten Commandments have returned to me as thieves, with filthy mouths and bad attitudes! GET OUT, and DON'T COME BACK...until you've redeemed yourselves!

She might be a time-traveler from the future where $1M buys two lattes at starbcks.

Everybody knows the highest denomination printed is a $100,000 bill. People can be so dumb.

What struck me the most was the fact that they were buying gift cards... at the Dollar store? As in, $1 gift cards? Worst gift cards ever.

The check came from the Nigerian Church of St. Perfidious, I'm guessing?
