Anyone have a Key Lima Bean Pie recipe they'd like to share?

No how, no way. Lima beans and cauliflower are the two vegetables most afront to nature.

I respectfully declare that I sort of like these things. A couple of times a year or so.

wanderer, Lima beans do look and act like real food for the most part.
Cauliflower, on the other hand, is just disguised polypropylene that the plastics industry somehow convinced American mothers was something their kids should eat.

Are fava beans an acceptable substitute?

If the only lima beans you've ever eaten came out of a can you're really cheating yourself. There is nothing better than some that have been slow-cooked on the stove all day and have also been seasoned with country ham while cooking. Here in the south, we call them Butter Beans and I love them.

I'm sure the fact that it's also Hitler's birthday is a coincidence.
