Tell that to the Anchorage Costco customers: Birds make you as happy as money, study finds

The pressure will be off by summer. The Ravens will leave their winter Costco, Anchorage migration grounds after they have eaten their fill.

I don’t know - I’d rather have money in my pocket than any birds.

People have been rave'n about the century club for years, so nothing new here.

Here in New Mexico and the Southwest, many of us take another view on birds. Having a covey of quail enter your yard can fill that ol' freezer with some good vittles that you didn't have to pay money for.

Of course, I would never do such a thing, but some friends tell me this is fact.

a year ago or more my neighbor sat a 'fake' predator plastic type bird on the fence outside our window to scare away the dove's who made their seasonal nest under his front porch. So, a few weeks ago mrs man toms says, "there is a big bird setting on the fence every time I look out the window, He is always there."

The 'big bird' made of plastic had been there for more than year, I explained.

Raven story without paywall.
