Are we sure that's not just a rat whose tail got run over by a train?

"I recognized it from the nickel.”
A Canadian who has never seen a beaver before? What about a cow?
City people...

They said he was rescued, but I'm not buying it. I think they arrested him for jumping the turnstile without paying.

That beaver will settle down and behave once it's stuffed.

Frank, my brother-in-law, a BIG-time hunter, once shot a porcupine and took it to his favorite taxidermist to be stuffed. After more than a month, it was done. The taxidermist told Jim not to EVER bring him anything like that again. The poor guy's hands were covered in puncture wounds from the quills.
As you might imagine, Jim paid a fee far in excess of the usual charge.
