MEANWHILE IN FLATHEAD COUNTY

12:42 a.m. A man grabbed a “big pole” to protect he and his partner from the intruders causing a loud, suspicious banging noise. An investigation revealed a screen door was slamming open and shut.

11:12 a.m. A man who butt dialed 911 said everything was OK except he was spending too much money at Costco.

6:47 p.m. Some strange people walked into an ice cream shop.

Was the opening line to no joke ever.

From the entries it appears the PO-PO are taking a lot of bribes to make all these reports seem insignificant.

wanderer2575---911 calls about some strange people walking into an ice cream shop can often be very interesting here in Roswell, New Mexico.

Here at the office we have one of those "VoIP" (pronounced like "boat glowing") phone systems where you have to press "9" to get an outside line, followed by "1" for long distance.

The Fairfax County Police officer would like to know
1) Why is "9" the default and not, say, "3" and
2) Why is this never reprogrammed?

I love these, but the reporter’s editor needs to check his grammar: “to protect *he* and his partner”?

One of these days I'm going to visit Flathead County.

nursecindy--You will enjoy Flathead County. We have lots of interesting people living here. Just remember to stay well off the lake shore at night(we do have a lake monster). BTW, that is not the real Elvis playing the guitar in the park, but he is fairly good, except for his song writing.

"to protect HIM and his partner"

You're welcome.
